About events at the Nasher Museum

Since the Nasher Museum opened in 2005, it quickly became a premiere destination for private events. The museum is located between East and West Campuses at Duke University, convenient to Duke Chapel, the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, area hotels and Research Triangle Park.

The Mary D.B.T. Semans Great Hall

With its dramatic glass and steel roof, the Mary D.B.T. Semans Great Hall lends itself to corporate events, weddings and other celebrations. The 13,000-square-foot space accommodates up to 250 guests for a seated dinner and receptions for 100 to 500 guests. The Great Hall is available for private events after the museum closes to the public, every night except Thursday.

Packages

Special all-inclusive packages are available for corporate events during "El Greco to Velázquez: Art during the Reign of Philip III."

The Nasher Museum works with five approved catering companies, each with its own culinary, service and design specialties, and all experienced at creating successful events within the limitations of the museum environment.
