School Tours
This fall our free, guided school tours are full. We have been taking reservations since May. Our free, guided school tours take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM and 11 AM and Fridays at 10 AM. Regular school tour for grades K-12 at the Nasher Museum of Art will resume in January 2009.
Self-Guided School Groups
We are experiencing a high demand for self-guided group visits. Due to the special nature of this exhibition we can only have one self-guided school group in the museum at a time. If tickets are available and no other school group is scheduled, self-guided student groups can visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays after 12 p.m. or Fridays after 11 a.m.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $5 for students. The maximum number is 40 students per hour time block. For self-guided groups we require you to bring 1 chaperone for every 5 students. Chaperones need tickets for entry to the exhibition. Groups that do not have the required number of chaperones may be refused entry to the exhibition. Some weekends are available but regular adult ticket prices apply for weekend visits.
To check availability and purchase tickets for self-guided visits call the Duke University Box Office at 919-660-1701. If the box office's phone number is busy please try calling again.
Please note there is a $3 service fee per order.
We ask that teachers do not lead their own tours in the exhibition due to space and acoustic concerns.
An audio tour (English or Spanish) is available at the museum for $3 per person, please see below.
This audio tour can also be downloaded for free from this page.
