Barbra and Andrew Rothschild Lecture

Odili-Donald-Odita

Odili Donald Odita

March 17, 2015

Abstract painter Odili Donald Odita delivered the Annual Barbra and Andrew Rothschild Lecture. The Nasher Museum announced plans to commission two large-scale murals by Odita, in celebration of Nasher10, the museum’s first decade. A public art project in downtown Durham now visually connects with a wall painting inside the museum.

The annual lecture is made possible by Barbra and Andrew Rothschild. Past speakers include artists Dario Robleto, Eve Sussman and Kehinde Wiley and Thelma Golden, director of the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Listen to an interview with Trevor Schoonmaker and Odili Donald Odita on Frank Statio’s The State of Things WUNC 91.5 FM.

Odita also appeared on the Modern Art Notes Podcast with Tyler Green.
