Alice Wagner was born in Lima, Peru, in 1974 and currently lives and works there. She received her B.A. in plastic arts from the Escuela Superior de Arte Corriente Alterna in Lima. In 2009 Wagner was a finalist at the Fab Lab Project in Lima. Wagner has also been a finalist in three editions of Pasaporte para un Artista (2007, 2004, 2002), an award organized by the French Embassy in Lima.
Wagner has had four solo exhibitions in Lima: Nostalgia Habanera, Galeria Lucia de la Puente (2009); Domestic Flights, Galeria Lucia de la Puente (2007); Celle-ci n´ est pas une compétition, Galeria Lucia de la Puente (2006); and 8 pinturas, Galeria Forum (2004).
Group exhibitions include El fantasma de la libertad, Centro Cultural de España, Lima (2008); Summer Show, Purdy Hicks Gallery, London (2008); Miradas de fin de Siglo, Museo de Arte de Lima-Mali, Lima (2007); Sobre Héroes y Patria, Galeria Pancho Fierro, Lima (2004); Arte y transculturización, Galeria Artco, Lima (2002); and El ultimo Lustro, Sala Luis Miro Quesada Garland, Lima (1999), among others.
